The weapons and vehicles of the 4th Reich are based on the sole concept of quality over quantity. With powerful tanks that have thick armor and mount large caliber guns able to smash there opposition to pieces. And advanced aircraft designed to shoot down the allied bombing groups with ease. Although there might be less of them the Reichs vehicles are sure to triumph over there allied counterparts sometimes winning battles that are 7 to 1 agents them.
KRAGEN AND HIS KIND
Like a regular human, they also have two arms, two hands and are upright humanoids in anatomy but snakelike in appearance. Their inner body structure is covered up by aluminium sheets protecting it from any damage. At the joints of their arms and legs there is a small gap where the inner structure of the endoskeleton can be seen. They have a long box like snout with two sharp teeth at the end. Their yellow eyes are placed on each side of the head pointing slightly forward thus giving them a little more peripheral vision then a normal person would have. On their hands they each have five fingers with an opposable thumb. Although their fingers might appear sharp they are actually quite dull so they don’t scratch and damage their own equipment. They are painted dark green, a colour similar to the one they use to camouflage their aircrafts, and their lower jaw and finger are painted a brighter field grey. They also always are seen wearing clothes. That is because like a regular human they feel heat and cold and need to wear clothes to keep warm in colder weather. They also wear clothes as a safety precaution since they have a gap in their aluminium exoskeleton at the joints so it is important to keep outside materials like dirt, mud and grass out of these gaps in order to minimize damage to the internal workings and shorten maintenance after combat.
Their main memory and processing unit is placed in their head and vaguely resembles a brain in its shape and form. Their body structure is supported by an endoskeleton which works like a skeleton in a regular person. Around the endoskeleton there is a multitude of wires and cables running up and down their arms and legs. They serve to transmit all the information from the main unit in the head to the arms and legs so they can move accordingly. Around the whole body there are vein-like tubes which transport oil to the various parts of the body.
All units built by the machine understand German and English at the moment of creation. Other basic function that they can understand at the moment of their creation include being able to fire and operate a kar98 rifle or a mp40 submachinegun, write in German, recognize their leader and their obligation to be loyal to him to the very end as well as recognized the enemy. However, it is also important to remember that they are all created like individuals so although they all look identical, their minds are all a bit different with some being made more intelligent than others. This helps determine who will be given tasks of a commander who needs to command forces, and who will be assigned as a simple truck driver or AA gun loader. An important part to note is that after creation all of them are given a name and a surname through quite a complicated naming system and a serial number. This is all done for the sake of easy identification and recognition.
They have all the feelings of a regular person excluding the ability to fall in love with something or someone. That means they are able to think about their actions, remember memories and each individual might express likings for different things or activities. They all go to training schools after creation to be trained for the thing they were selected to be: a tank crew man, pilot, officer or a simple grenadier.
They inherited the ranking system from the German army once they overran it.
But as an individual advances through the ranks because of his bravery in the field or some special achievement he accomplished, he might be given the chance to alter certain parts of his body. A low rank such as an officer might get a chance to change one of his hands to a power gauntlet which will allow him to be brutal in close combat, while a high rank such as a company commander might even add additional teeth to his jaw to look more menacing or add other parts which will change his appearance to look more aggressive or cunning. The highest prize a rank might bring to an individual is the ability to change their full body colour. This is considered the highest honour as other than the Kragen only a rare few had been able to change their full body colour. Some of these highest ranking legends include:
General Axel Holler, the highest ranking Luftwaffe pilot, chose to dye his full body in black and for his secondary colour he choose dark gray so he would exactly match his favourite aircraft that he pilots.
Captain Gustav Sailer, the highest ranking captain of the kriegsmarine, chose to paint his full body in a hard edged camo pattern of dark grey, dark blue and blue because of his liking of the sea and naval combat.
Obersturmbannführer Jakob Knocke, who is considered to be one of the most evil and cold blooded (although they have no blood) SS führers still around, he chose to dye his entire body in dark German grey. He says he did it because he wanted anybody who sees him coming to know that only death awaits them.
Hermann Metelmann, who is known as one of, if not the best, scientist right after Professor Fraz, chose to paint himself in white as he is obsessed with everything being clean and in order. That’s why he chose white because he believes it to be a clean colour.
The Panzer IV is an old and trusted design. Its origins date back to before the war had even begun. Fitted with what can be considered a less than ideal armour, but with a pretty effective main gun, it can still challenge the T-34 or Sherman to a fight as long as it does not get shot. Although many of them are still in Kragen’s armies they are slowly being phased out and are being replaced by the Panthers and Jagdpanzers 4.
The Pz II is an old and very outdated tank. Used as Germany’s primary tank from the beginning of the war in 1939 all the way to 1945 when it was replaced by the bigger and better armed Panzer III. It is a surprise that this tank is still produced, which is due to the fact that it is cheap and can be produced in quite a number of factories it. After the 1950s this tank was in low production whit around 50 made a year to replace some of the losses and the ones that broke down. In the end of the 1950s this tank was pulled back from front line service and army service in general and was put in as a police support tank. It fulfilled this role well as it had light armour, but still thick enough that mgs and rifles could not penetrate it; it also had a rapid 20mm firing cannon which was great for suppressing the partisan forces that it was meant to fight as a police tank.
The kugelblitz is a modification on the panzer 4s chassis. By adding a ball turret, similar to one that can be found on a bomber. An two mk 103 30mm autocannons the 4th Reich has created one of the most compact and easy to build mobile AA platforms. With a great rate of fire and the powerful 30mm ammo. This AA tank can take on any ground attacker.
Like the stug III G takes its hull from the old outdated panzer III the jagdpanzer IV 1/70 takes its hull from the panzer IV respectively. With now thicker and sloped armor the jagdpanzer IV can bounce shots from all medium and even some heavy allied tanks something the panzer IV could only dream of. The gun was also improved replacing the old 75mm with the same gun that is on the panther giving the jagdpanzer IV exceptional firepower compared to what the panzer IV had. All these upgrades and changes give it quite a lot of extra weight making it slower and a pain to push over difficult terrain. But it makes up for it by being excellent as a mobile AT gun and tank hunter which can exchange parts with the older panzer IV models still in service.
A true beast in the form of a medium tank, the Panther is one of the most feared German tanks out there as its armour and gun outgun any allied medium tank and it has still enough speed that it does not need to worry about an enemy tank outflanking it. Its powerful 75mm gun does not have the range of Tiger 1’s gun, but it has even more velocity, meaning that the Panther could take on even heavy tanks like the Is-2 and Pershing tank and still come out victorious. Its front armour is sloped at a high angle making it match or even surpass the front armour of a Tiger 1. Its biggest weakness is its weak side and top armour giving the allied attack aircraft and good allied tank commanders the chance to take it out from the top or side.
Upon finding that the Tiger II was not fast enough but carried a good punch, the design of this new tank came to be. The Panther II is actually exactly what one would expect. A larger Panther with better armor and the same 88mm gun as that of the Tiger II. The tank is an excellent combat vehicle and has no problem facing even larger allied opponents, like the Pershing or the IS-3, due to its powerful gun and great speed for such a large tank.
Old but still a mighty foe, the Tiger 1E was one of the most famous German-made tanks of all time as it was the first of its kind. A big armoured box with a huge cannon and slow speed, it was the first true heavy tank. When it was first seen on the field in 1952, the allies did not know what to use against this massive new opponent. Although its golden age has passed, it still holds a lot of potential under its belt. Its greatest weakness is its slow speed and quite an outdated armour layout very similar to the one on Panzer IV. This makes it a great gun platform but not one that can be shot up a lot by larger tanks like the IS-2, IS-3 or the centurion, unlike its larger brother the Tiger II which can take a beating from any of these tanks and still strike back with more than enough power to wipe them off the face of the Earth. Tiger 1E is now being replaced by Tiger II in almost all units, but they are still present on the field from time to time and still strike fear in the heart of allied tankers.
The biggest and heaviest tracked land vehicle ever to be produced in large numbers, the Jagdtiger is the true king of kings when it comes to raw firepower and the best of German cold hard steel. With enough armour to bounce any cannon in existence mounted to a tank and a cannon of its own powerful enough to kill any tank from almost any range, the Jagdtiger is an unstoppable super tank destroyer. Its only weakness and its only enemy can come from the air as its top armour is not strong enough to resist an onslaught from the allied jumbo fighter-bombers, while its large hull and high box profile makes it hard to miss even to a novice pilot. Because of its extremely slow speed, there is little chance it will get away in time if an allied aircraft spots it.
One of the smallest tank destroyers still in service, the Hetzer can be a big threat if it can camouflage itself in a tree line or dense bushes. Its low profile makes it impossible to see before it is too late to react. Thanks to its sloped armour and powerful 75mm cannon, it can stand toe to toe with any medium tank in the war.
Stug III is a revolutionary vehicle because it takes the hull of the old Panzer III, which is not used anymore, and turns it into something that armoured even better than Panzer IV. With good armour and a low profile, it can hide and strike at the right time. It also makes a great infantry support tank and transport tank as it has a large flat hull where the infantry can be stationed. Stug IV has the same design and concept, but it takes the hull of Panzer IV. Stug IV is now out of production because Jagdpanzer IV (V) is taking its place on the production line. Incredibly, Stug III still remains in production to this day with more than 80.000 produced units.
Regarded as the world’s best mass produced fighter, it surpasses its competition not only in its great speed, amazing armament of 2X20mm cannons in the wings, a 30mm canon in its propeller hub and two 50cal mg’s on the engine cowling, but also in its easy and fast construction time and good reliability in the sky. This fighter can be effective in any: role as a bomber hunter or general interceptor. But it has its bad points of which the two most prevalent are its slow turn speed and its small fuel capacity, meaning it can only operate near airfields.
The Focke-Wulf 190 is one of the most versatile single engine aircrafts in Kragen’s air force. Capable of adapting to almost any task, this aircraft is up for any role, some of which include heavy fighter, bomber hunter, ground strike aircraft, zeppelin hunter and many more. It can be armed with a variety of weapons to help it accomplish these tasks; just to name a few: all types of bombs, AT gun pods, anti airship missiles, 20mm gun pods and many more. No matter if you are in a ship, tank, bomber or zeppelin, when you see a flight of 190s approaching, you know you are in for a tough fight.
A faster and more agile version of the standard Fw-190. It is more specialized in fighter hunting due to its higher speed and mobility. It also can’t mount rockets and bombs making it unsuitable for ground attack or anti-zeppelin missions unlike its smaller brother. It mounts three 20mm cannons with which it can tear through any allied fighter with ease. Its speed is greatly increased by the bigger engine and makes it one of the fastest prop driven aircrafts. In fact, its speed is so good that it can even challenge allied jets in combat with much success. Although not produced in such numbers as the standard Bf 109, it still is one of the most feared piston driven aircrafts that an allied pilot can encounter in the sky.
The Fa 223 Drache all purpose helicopter was developed by the 4th Reich in an attempt to increase the mobility of there scout troops and also allow for faster air strikes to be a possibility since the Drache could take off vertically and virtually from any solid surface and did not require a airfield. A long fuselage carried by two propeller and a single motor in the middle the Drache is capable of being armed with a large amount of different weapon systems. Usually the base model has a 50 caliber MG on its nose, that is operated by a gunner. But it could be armed with all kinds of rockets and in some cases bombs on its two weapon hardpoints it had under its propeller. Although very revolutionary the Drache was an easy aircraft to take down. Mostly because of its flimsy construction, large glass cockpit and the fact that it is slower than any aircraft because of it being a helicopter. But still to this day the Drache remains a great weapon that can be utilized to carry smaller cargo that is to small for Airships and a great air support when aircraft are not available.
The beast that any pilot fears the most has to be the dreaded Me-262. Its incredible speed of 900km/h and its unmatchable armament of four 30mm in the nose makes it a true flying monster. Only one burst from its guns can obliterate a B-29 super-fortress and when it is upgraded whit extra boosters its speed can’t be matched by any aircraft in the world not even by the allied jets as it surpasses 1000km/h. What it lacks in turning time and manoeuvrability, it makes up for by the fact that its speed makes it hard to even come close enough to try to shoot it down. The only drawback to this incredible aircraft is its slow speed during take-off and landing, a time at which the aircraft is at its most vulnerable stage.
An older but well tested design, the 110 was one of the most versatile aircraft of the 4th Reich. It could fill out the role of fighter, bomber, heavy fighter and night fighter. Although now it started to lose its reputation as the most versatile aircraft because of new designs like the La-7 and the new spitfires it still serves as an excellent scout, photograph or armed patrol aircraft that scours the borders of the 4th Reich for any lucky survivors retreating or any unwanted guests that want to make a visit to the 4th Reich.
One of the largest transport aircraft ever built this monster is a flying warehouse. It has the possibility to load a full company of soldiers, two trucks with guns or two smaller tanks. This transport capacity is still unmatched by any allied ground based aircraft. Although they can be armed with and enormous amount of guns and autocannons it can also be unarmed so that it can transport a bigger load.
By far the best prop fighter under the 4th Reich service. The ta-152 can outmatch any and all piston engine fighters of the allies. It combines speed and agility with a similar hull to the Fw-190 d/13. An with an armament of one 30mm mk 108 cannon and two 20mm cannons, this is one beast you don’t want to face. Its large wings make this plane a top class high altitude fighter and bomber hunter.
Similar by name to the Ta-152 but in no way by looks. The Ta-154 is a new breed of heavy fighter and night fighter. It has been made to replace the bf-110. But since that aircraft is still in use the ta-154 is assigned more tougher tasks. With a great armament of two 30mm and two 20mm cannons this is a perfect bomber hunter and by the addition of a radar it can also be a great night interceptor.
After prolonged use of the Ju-87G model, the decision was made to upgrade this aircraft. But since there were so many new designs of fighter and bomber planes on the way and the fact that a lot of factories in the 4th Reich were already making the Ju-87 frame it was decided to only change the propulsion of the aircraft and strengthen its frame for higher top speed. Thus the Ju-87J was made. Where a jet engine similar to the ones on the Me-262 only a bit bigger was fitted under the pilot and the bomb arrangement has been changed a little and two additional MG 131 were added in front of the cockpit on the nose. Thus the speed has been increased from 310 km/h to 510 km/h. But other than that the aircraft remained the same in its look, minus the propeller on the front.
Called automatons by the allies or AWPs (Automated Weapons Platforms) as their original German titles are names given to the combat walker type units of the Empire of the 4th Reich. They come in various sizes and shapes and can be regarded as a completely different branch of organisation, separate from the German army, navy or its air force. Being very complex and difficult to construct machines, some of them are even regarded as war relics, going back to the beginning years of this long war. They are quiet mysterious machines and are often regarded as high priorities to capture after battle because of their high technological value.
Bulky and big, some of the smallest of them are just under 6 meters tall. Their various classes support different types of modular weaponry, from light auto-cannons to the heaviest anti tank and siege weapons. They are living sentient weapons of war and are not piloted by any other bots. Having a lot of emotional parts of their electronic brain removed makes them fearless killing machines that know no remorse or retreat. They cannot talk in our language but have their own type of machine language, enabling them to speak to each other even if they are in the thick of battle. It consists of a lot of mechanical noises and general racket that would be incomprehensible to our ears. Although able to understand our own language, Kragen’s troops usually use special radio devices to communicate with them over long distances. They know no emotion, might that be fear, regret, pity, happiness or sadness. They are extremely persistent and once given an order they will stop at nothing and rather die trying if the task is impossible then retreat. They have no sense of self-preservation and if told so will blindly charge into battle even under the heaviest of enemy fire. They will do anything they are told if commanded by a general or commander. Other of Kragen’s troops dislike these gigantic metal husks as they have no free will, just blind obedience in killing the enemy. That gives them a frightening appearance even to their own troops.
The only factory able to produce them, and does so at an very slow pace, is believed to be located in the suburbs of Berlin in an underground complex, but that is not proven.
The smallest and most produced of all automatons are the LA-AA. Meaning light armored assault automaton. These little monsters are just over two meters tall and can be looked on as savage beasts more than actual soldiers. With a primitive brain these small automatons can only understand a couple of orders. But those are enough as they work like hunting dogs for the 4th Reich infantry. They are released on a target – might that be a trench full of unsuspecting soldiers of a barricaded house. They will then storm the object with savage force, clawing their way in with their large talons they have under their gun mounts or simply brake in by ramming the doors down. They will then butcher everyone inside until told to stop or at least until nothing is moving anymore. Their weapons are a pair of Mp 40s mounted in their arms and a pair of sharp claws that they usually prefer to use instead of the Mp 40s.
By far the most used is the A8.With its light armor and light armament it is mostly used as a light support or scout for terrain where normal light vehicle can’t go. Lightly armored, it is mostly resistant from all small arms fire or heavy machine gun fire but it is venerable to all type of cannon or auto-cannon fire. This variant is the most varied and easiest to customize to an AA,AT or AP platform with lots of different weapons being made for it. Unlike the other three types, this one caries its weapons in manipulative robotic hands instead of the weapons being directly attached to its hull.

The medium model of the three variants, It’s made as a siege artillery piece and has no direct fire options. It mounts the powerful Quake canon on its shoulder and can send out shells in a radius of 5 km. It is slow and heavily armored to resist all but the most powerful of shots. Their speed is very low as they can’t walk faster than 10 km/h, and their reload time is even slower as they fire a shell every 5 to 10 minutes. This is balanced out by the quake cannons immense destructive power. They can also be fitted with a 88mm king tiger cannon for an anti tank role.

The biggest, strongest and by far the most armed of all the three variants is the MA-SA. With its height just over 10 meters it is capable of carrying the biggest and most destructive weapons. Its arsenal consists of various cannons, close combat weapons and experimental types of weapons like the Volcano cannon. Its power source is unknown as they have never been defeated in battle without leaving them unsalvageable. But it is known that it must be one with immense power as it can move 80 tons on legs with ease. This version of the AWPs is not being produced anymore. That is because of its long process of production, which could last up to two months per piece. So it was suggested that heavy tanks were more effective in its role as a heavy support as they can be produced at a much quicker rate.
